Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Belarus in Minsk. Sergey was a player in the hockey league. Aryna Sabalenka was born May 5, 1998 from Minsk Belarus. Her twelve WTA singles titles comprise a Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is another sport where she shines. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both taken by Elise Mertens. She also achieved an incredible Sunshine Double in 2019, taking in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. This feat was only achieved by four couples in singles for women. Her ranking went from second to third in World Singles Rankings at the end of August on the 23rd, 2021. The highest ranking she achieved was achieved again in January 2023. In doubles however she pushed herself up to first place at the beginning of February that year after the victory in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to achieve success in this specialty. She was trained by an ex- Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the close of the 2019 season and partly at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann also served as the coach she had for a short period from August to September of 2020. As of the year 2020's end, she has been coached by her countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her heroes.
